iPod and XMG saving my sanity
Today is one of those days that every second at work drags on my soul. Backwards ticking clock, people blinking slowly, everything made of thick syrup. It took forever for lunch to arrive and while I sat outside making my way through a pulled pork sandwich that tasted like it was pulled through a dish washer, I looked at the extra blue sky and realized I only had 10 minutes to look at it before I went in. My lab that I sit at has no windows and the constant roar of an a/c unit built to cool hell itself. The gray in the lab is intense. Walls, floors, desks and if it isn't gray it's beige.
My little iPod sits askew on the desk pumping various tunes into my ear drums distracting me from my environment and to some extent work. I've done enough work today to fill up last week.
XMG reminds me that there is other things outside of my gray and beige world.
I wonder how Kyle is doing in school today. I guarantee it's more intellectually stimulating.
