Our loaner/storage TV from my inlaws is finally going back. I was looking for a replacement TV for upstairs when I realized I could take my 34" HD Sony WEGA XBR800 Tube and put it upstairs and get a slightly bigger TV for my entertainment center downstairs. My situation played out much like the circuit city commerical where the guy buys a new TV and realizes he can get a bigger TV and the wife agrees.... my eyes lit up. The cabinet has 40" opening and inside it's 46" (can't remember the depth right now) I was looking at the Sharp Aquos 37" LCD HDTV or the 37" LCD LG.
I am staying away from Plasma and because it's in a new and very heavy cabinet I am limited by depth as well as width of it. I have a Sharp Aquos 20" in our sun room that has a great picture already so that's why I'm leaning toward that one. Research goes on......
