I was up to 2am trying to get the film scanner working. Finally, finally I got it to load the right driver but the software didn't see it while the OS did! I finally unplugged the printer/fax/scanner and sure enough the software recognized the film scanner. The softeware seems to be pretty flexible but the version I have SE seems to be hamstrung and it is recommended I purchase the full version to get all the bells and whistles. I hate crippled software.

Karen's laptop is still not working properly. Firefox works, sp2 installed all patches and I finally removed mcafee but while I think that was the cause, it won't fix the damage it has done to something relating to popup windows/fields in web forms for IE and a couple of other apps. Can't type in any fields in a web form, ie properties displays and un specfied error 30 w/ a dialog that pops up behind it with spots for javascript info but it's all blank.
