I admit it, I haven't did real lawn work for a while. Cleaned up here or there but have not cut the lawn in years. Karen was sick of asking me and I was sick of doing it. So we settled in getting some landscapers out. For two long years we went through 3 or 4 companies w/ all the normal problems, non-english speaking workers who don't understand what you ask them, ruining the swing set, gouging our fence, pulling all the perinals out of karen's garden, cutting the willow tree without asking, billing issues..... At the end of last year we found a company that was run but a guy whose workers seemed to understand most of it. We signed a contract w/ them and yesterday we were so glad we did. The company came out to "clean up" the yard which cost $140. A lot you say, nay it would have been a 2 day job of sweaty ass-breaking work that would have left us sore and exausted. This company decended on our yard like texas red ants on a cricket. In about an hour our yard both front and back looked fantastic, better than I had ever done it. It was the best money we ever spent. (Besides the trip to key west)
