Still waiting on the seller's repsonse of our request to pay for the damaged roof. For some reason they wanted till Friday. If they come back w/ 0$ then we walk. I'm not paying over the asking price and getting shammed out of additional money for a roof. They knew the roof was bad. Someone siliconed it up but they didn't say anything on the disclosure. If it comes to that then we go after then (if we can). But now it is known the roof is bad and needs to be replaced before they can sell it. All the other little things found at the inspection we will take care of. The roof is supposed to cost around $3500. about $500 of that is extra upgrades that we wanted plus replacement skylights and gutters so I can understand letting that slide. IF they want to split 50/50 then maybe but then we want the other things inside fixed too. IE water damage spots, deck slope cause it's built on dirt and not block. The railing for the loft is shakey and needs to be redone but I'd rather do that to make sure it's done right.
