Lateral move?

I got a voice mail from the PM in another dept saying that he was able to get me the same money I'm making now and he wants me to meet with a fed to go over what I would be doing.... if interested. So I meet with the manager/developer who has been developing Notes for about 2 years. That kinda says what level I'm gonna be working at. But they have work. They are also rebidding the contract in less than 6 months. I meet with the HR rep for a very small (<15 people) sub-contract company. The benefits are worse and better at he same time. Lame 401k options but you are 100% vested from day one and will match up to 4% day one. You can direct the investments. No life insurance. Less $ per month but I don't know what level PPO they have. Better accrual rate on time off. AFter 3 years I get an additional week of time!!! unlike other companies that takes 5 years. They actually have work for me even though it's only Notes client and web related stuff. It's better than nothing. And no sitting at my desk and surfing and trying to learn technology that I may never use doesn't appear good to me, if it does you then look into working for the govt. Like I said in 6 months the contract is up and it has to be rebid so there is a chance I get an increase from that. I wouldn't have my salary reduced if we won the contract, most likely increased. However, if the contract is won by another company I will most likely be picked up by that company and will have to renegotiate my salary which is standard practice here. It will be easier justifying my rate if I actually had work to do.
