My new boss and and lead finally talks to me and gives me a new project. Simple web based app to handle hardware requests. No interfaces w/ DB or anything. It's a tester project in my mind but it will enable me to learn their development process. Then they let me know that I should come down to DC to meet the other devs. That seems ok for me but for two days? I get to fly down in a little commuter plane and stay at a Holiday inn or something. No laptop for me since I dont' rate. The other devs in my group work from home %85 of the time so I'm hoping I get to do it too but since I'm in a different site with different rules and a different contract I really am not holding my breath.
This weekend we are heading to TN for family event. We are heading to the Grand Ole' Oprey which is a good place for taking photos. I'll take my monopod w/ me even though I have little faith in it or my ability to use it. You'd think I'm a recovering drug addict or something they way my hands shake when I am trying to steady them. Otherwise no tremor.
Saw my best friend G over the weekend. It a little jarring to have a son the age of when I met G. He's happy up in upstate NY and knows that K and I would love it up there. Find me a job in the Uni your at and I'll come up.
