I died a little last night watching the sugary, marketing crap. You got to see the 360 for 4 seconds in the beginning and at the end between the repetitive commericals you got to see a lot of gamers play very quick shots of the games. The games are done yet, that much is known. We were teased w/some some interesting facts but the backward compatiibilty is still not answered. Monday during E3 there is supposed to be more 'information'. I keep thinking about how I forgot to delete the MTV 360 launch from my Tivo. It's is still there, sitting there smugly. Taunting me with it's fake hip sugary blandness. arrgh. I just vomited in my mouth a little just thinking about it.
Based on the feed back from Major Nelson's blog most people hated it.
The one saving grace is the video released on ourcolony.net. It should have been showed on the special chopped up w/ commericals even it would have been worthy of the title of launch. If it wasn't for the 'leaked' pics and information then I would have been even more upset with the MTV Dance party. Will anyone not buy because of this, I have to say the majority won't be affected one way or another but it's best if we just forget the evening of May12th 9:30pm til 10PM.
