While going from 1st to 2nd at a crawl I sometimes leave the gear in neutral but today I hear/feel a bang and think I just got rear-ended but realize the car didn't shake that badly. It didnt seem like a back-fire but who knows. No leaking fluids or other abnormality with the guages.
This weekend I plan on putting my new bumper, I hope the mysterious bang isn't a sign.
